Daily pay lets NHS organisations offer candidates early access to pay for worked shifts via the Liaison Link app. Candidates can do the following:
- View earned funds (pending, available, and requested).
- Withdraw up to 40% of their authorised timesheet pay early (one withdrawal per timesheet).
Key points:
- Daily pay requests are available in the app if the candidate’s profession and engagement match the NHS organisation’s setup.
- Payments can be up to 40% of earned pay, excluding expenses.
- Requests can be processed within two hours if timesheets are submitted, authorised, and requested promptly.
- Daily pay is deducted from the weekly payroll, with payslips reflecting net deductions and adjustments for tax and National Insurance.
- Timesheets with adjustments are excluded from daily pay.
- Only PAYE or LTD candidates paid off payroll via Liaison Workforce can access daily pay.
- Non-off payroll candidates cannot use daily pay; their timesheets don’t appear in the app’s daily pay section.
- Daily pay applies only to worked shifts, not as an advance for unworked hours.
Example of Daily Pay
For example, if a candidate works a £100 shift and submits the timesheet then once the timesheet has been authorised, they request 40% (£40) daily pay and receive it within two hours. The full £100 is later processed through payroll, deducting the £40 already paid plus PAYE, NI, and pension contributions where applicable.
