TempRE Release 8.2 has introduced updates to support agency compliance with the latest HMRC VAT guidance for qualifying medical locum workers.
What's Changed?
When submitting qualifying Standard Placement Medical and Dental or Consultant candidates, agency users will be required to confirm the worker's VAT status as part of the submission process.
Available options will include:
- VAT Exempt
- VAT Applicable
The VAT status selected will be used to calculate the appropriate VAT treatment throughout the booking, invoicing and reporting process.
Invoicing Updates
Where applicable, agencies will receive separate Standard Placement invoices to support the different VAT treatments. This is intended to simplify billing and improve transparency.
Existing Bookings
For qualifying bookings already held within TempRE, Liaison is planning a data update to apply the appropriate VAT treatment where required. No action is expected from agencies for bookings covered by this activity.
When Will These Changes Be Available?
The enhancements have been implemented as part of TempRE Release 8.2 on 26th August 2026.
